Measurement of Diversity
For Simpson (1949), “The index of diversity has so far been
used chiefly with the logarithmic distribution. It cannot be
used everywhere, as it does not always give values which
are independent of sample size; it cannot do so, for example,
when applied to an infinite population of individuals classified
into a finite number of groups.”
Importance of cultural diversity for the development of
countries. Cultural diversity favors the development of the
country, thanks to the ethnic resources, traditions, social,
flora, fauna, regions and landscapes. Overcoming the divide
between cultures is urgent and necessary for peace and
development.

Conflicts between nations have marked the world since the beginning of times. Thanks to
them, great losses have occurred to lives, infrastructure, art, and the environment, to mention
a few examples. Today one of the most important and best-known conflicts between nations
is the persistent tension between North Korea and South Korea. North Korean President, for
example, is well-known for his quite controversial and constant threads related to a many
time mentioned nuclear power.
A worrying spot about all this is that one can never know what will happen in the future,
imagining that an agreement could be reached between these countries. We can proceed, then,
to imagine some of the deals or agreements that would result in a state of peace.
One thing is certain, they would probably not come together to be the same country. But they
might benefit each other in terms of technology. Since they are countries that have a lot of
technological advances and development, together they would create incredible things for
the benefit and economic growth of both nations.
In this imaginary situation, conflicts that other nations might have been facing with North
good news for them since good relationships with other countries would definitely bring
positive things.
Traditions would also change which would lead to a culture mix. Everything from food,
music, or the way of interacting with each other. People from other countries would also be
interested in getting to know more about this and tourism would highly increase compared
to the fact that today only few foreigners can enter North Korea.

to imagine a situation in which the welfare of others becomes a priority for these nations.
